Ok folks. I was wondering what peoples opinions were about Donald Trump (I'd especially like to hear from any Americans on this matter). Do people think he'd make a good President or do they have another opinion (whether high or low) of the man.

Myself personally thought he was totally of the wrong character for President and if I was American I'd be voting for Hilary Clinton. I was appalled by his attitude until he said that all people who wish to live in the US should go through an intensive screening process. I totally agree with that and then thought, is that not normal anyway. Now I'm back to thinking how appalling he is.

If I was American I also be voting for Hilary Clinton. I Agree with you and understand what you want to say.

Hillary is the only viable option, the fact that Trump is doing so well its, like, so frightening. Every day I see the news coverage I'm in disbelief. I really hope things turn out with Hillary.

So do I Sadre, so do I. Though at the moment things look a bit dicey for Hillary. I heard on the news this morning that she's been taken ill. They said something about pneumonia and because of this she had to cancel a campaign trip to California, but is now on the mend I hope this doesn't influence to many people not to vote for her as anyone can become ill at anytime and it doesn't mean she's incapable of doing the job. No doubt Trump will be making a big deal of the matter.

Man, it's been a long time. This is quite the reunion I must say. I miss all of you. Magicmuggle, I never got to know you very well but I can most definitely say this. It's amazing and honorable how you've stuck with this forum the same way the members of old did, the members that I once knew 9 years ago. Sabre, it's been far too long. I hope like everything you are doing well. I think of you often, but before I get all sappy and syrupy, I'll just say that I guess I'll come out of my little cave to make a post once every couple of years.

First let me just say, that I do not vote. This will automatically deem me as null and void on the opinion train to most, but I'll go ahead and explain the main reason why I take such a stance. I believe people should vote their conscience, and my conscience tells me that no man or woman can lead other men and women like they need to be lead. There is no true leadership without supreme guidance, and no politician in Washington right now has that. They have none what so ever. They all use different tactics to appear as things they are not. They play on emotions to rile people up, and they speak eloquently to fool people into believing that they think like they do. I care not who wins this election, simply because I don't believe anyone on the scene right now can eliminate the tainted system that we have today. This doesn't make my views pointless, it makes them neutral. I am but a simple American who can see what is happening around him with no unnecessary prejudice.

Trump is a complete buffoon who will utterly destroy this country with his social ideas (which will undoubtedly come more from his wife and kids than it will him himself) and his extreme radical ideas that will come as a shock to everyone. Business wise he'll separate us from the rest of the world and teach us to make money on our own, something we definitely should be better at and I don't think anyone is denying that. The United States has a huge money problem and no it isn't Bush's fault, it isn't Obama's fault, the fault lies with them both along with previous Presidents who didn't do anything to help either. It's called an extreme lack of common sense. Trump has business sense, but that's all he has. The last debate proved that when he became extremely powerful whenever money related issues came into question, but as soon as social problem arose he froze and tried to regain ground as much as he possibly could as his credibility tanked.

Hillary has background, she's well known, and just like people who are well known and have been around a long time, she has many people who hate her. Just ask Miley Cyrus. She has supporters who would kill themselves for her and she has people who hate her guts with a passion. She has held many offices and has been on the scene for a long time. To the average person she is far more credible despite a rocky history (partly thanks to her husband) and she appears very strong and patient despite the many attacks she has received from opponents and now especially Trump. She covers her bases, and she's an extremely educated woman.

The voters of this country see everything I have just mentioned. This is what they weigh. This is their scorecard. This is what they evaluate and this is what they will use to decide who will lead their country for at least 4 crucial years. Some will vote for Trump because they see more of his signs out along the side of the street. Some will vote for Hillary cause she wore a pretty red dress. Others will vote for one or the other hoping that they will only get the one 4 year term and then they can vote them out with a stronger candidate from their party next go around, but, I guarantee you none of them will vote based on the look in the candidates eye whenever they speak. None of them. There's a lost art of conversation (and no I'm not referring to the Pink Floyd song... well okay maybe I am but my point still stands). Voters will not vote their conscience. They will not vote for who they think means to do well, who they think is the better person. They will vote for who they think is more qualified, but what exactly are qualifications? The very base principle itself should be questioned. I would choose to not bring religion or the Bible or anything of the kind into this but I cannot help this once. The resemblance in situations is brilliantly uncanny. Samuel thought that Eliab, Abinidab, or even Shammah would surely be fit for a King, right? It wasn't though.
"But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16
Anyone with a Bible handy, go on and read that. I'm not preaching, and I'm surely not someone who's word should be clung to like it's the last thing keeping you from flying into the whirlwind. I am but a young man sitting here at his desk with a desire to make his friends (and yes, you are my friends) think even if it's just a little bit, and even if it's whole heartedly rejected. God looked on the heart. He saw through their flesh right into their minds and their consciences. Can we humans do that? No, but what we do have is a brain He gave us to think and reason. He gave us words to live by and plenty of examples to help us understand the spirit of the law, not just the word of the law. We judge every single day, not people's hearts, but their actions. We measure their fruits by what we know as people, as individuals, what they should and should not do. It's how we make friends. It's how I came to know and love so many of you here on this forum right now. I thought that despite any disagreement, from what I could see, they still had a good conscience. Someone who meant well.

So as I sit here and I watch these two severely flawed individuals bicker back and forth, I ask myself, which one is less poison to this country than the other? Both would make a man drink enough to forget his sorrows, it's like being stabbed or shot, but which one has more good intention? When I look at these two candidates, my gut and my instincts makes me fear Hillary more. No, it isn't her makeup (cause oh my, Trump's hair looks like monkey grass), it's how she presents herself. She is polished, so extremely well. She has an answer for everything, and she looks the part too well. Her "outward appearance" is what people are looking for. It is why she will win this election, and it is why I, would rather vote for a more sincere idiot, than an evil genius.

You all can reach out to me any time, my door is always open.

Hey Wickett! It has been so long since we've chatted! Hope you're well.

I think a lot of what you say is the way politics has really become in recent years but even perhaps forever. Its a sad situation that people are so "fake" and you don't know what their true intentions are. I agree that both candidates are generally undesirable for their respective reasons. I just don't think I could handle seeing Donald Trump get his way. He's just so racist and will basically say anything to get a dramatic reaction. I think his popularity speaks to what a small subset of the population believe, but perhaps don't actively preach, as it were.

Hillary definitely comes across "fake" as well and its too bad she can't just seem honest. I think she's done some good work and if she wins I think the US will follow a predictable course in the future. With Trump, I think things would be unpredictable although I don't think they will be an under disaster. Just my thoughts though.

You bring up a lot of interesting points to ponder on though!

Hello again Wicky my old friend. It was so good to hear from you after all this time. You certainly raise a lot of interesting points, and in many ways I'm not really qualified to answer a lot of them since we (In the UK) only get a limited view of what's actually going on on a day to day bases. What we do get is shown on our news programmes, and often I feel that we only get a proportion of what is going on.

Though if I was American I would think that Hilary was the lesser of the two evils and vote for her. At least she doesn't appear to be racist like Trump seems to have shown when he's visited the Southern States and committed and few foe pars along the way, like with the coloured family of the soldier who was killed. Hilary does seem to be a bit more sensitive to peoples needs.

And last of all, I'll always stick with this forum. I think its a great place, and full of friendly people. Good lord, I've just realised that in 11 days it'll be 4 years that I've been a member of this forum. I feel old

And Wicky, don't be a stranger.

Now I read that he he made derogatory remarks about women in 2005 http://news.sky.com/story/will-women-vo ... y-10609413 and http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-us-2016-37594918 he's apologized about them. Now was that apology made now or then? If now I think it's 11 years to late. Apparently that part of the show where these comments were made was never aired to the public.

I ask the American people. Is this really the man you want to have to lead your country onto the worlds political stage for the next 4 years at least? He certainly doesn't appear to have much in the way of Morales where equality is concerned.

Hillary has been caught in so many lies over the years. Plus Hillary is a Globalist (http://www.globalistagenda.org/ )

Donald Trump is his own man and not owned by Big Corporations & Foreign Bankers. Trump was approached by some higher up people in our government, to run for President, so we can stop the take over of America, to the Globalist Cabal. If you can not see what is going on in this county the last 30 years, you must be asleep to the truth. America has been sold out to the highest bidder. What do you think the Clinton Foundation is all about? Hillary & Bill has been selling our resources to foreign countries for years. Hillary and Bill have pulled so many Congressmen, Congresswomen and Senators into the Clinton Foundation scheme, with their "Pay to Play" propositions. So once the Clinton Foundation gets investigated and goes down, all those involved will go down with Hillary and Bill. That's why you have been seeing so many attacks towards Trump. Trump is a threat to all those who are part of the establishment, who has dirty hand in all those backroom deals with the Clintons. They have to attack Trump so they will not get exposed for what they have been doing.

Trump is human and said some bad things, but he is not a criminal. Trump has apologized for his past mistakes. Hillary has not apologized for her mistake of deleting all those emails. Hillary has not apologized for the four dead people in Benghazi either! She is a criminal and not fit to serve as Commander in Chief.

God has his hand on Trump and changing him before our eyes, to be a better man. Have faith, that God is rising up Trump to stand up for all of us against the globalist cabal. His is our only chance to holding onto our freedom. Pray for Trump! He needs our prayers! God is using him!

You do raise some interesting points here Suzieq. Though would god allow someone to encourage people to shoot someone? To encourage a foreign power (in this case) Russia to hack someones e-mail system (the democratic party). I know he apologized for what was said on that recording, but that was 11 years later and only because he was found out about it recently. If that recording hadn't seen the light of day, would he still had said sorry? We'll never know. In some cases you could say that he's been caught with his pants down.

I'm afraid your right about one thing though, he needs praying for, for him to beg for forgiveness in many areas for what he's done in the past.

Now there's all this carry on about the E-Mail scandal again. I think someone else should enter the race and do what Richard Pryor did in the film Brewsters Millions, and that is vote NONE OF THE ABOVE.

Well just as you say Sabre, this is it. The election is just around the corner and it looks like it could be anyone's race. I wonder whom will get the result.

Darn it, he won http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-us-2016-37920175

I just hope that those who voted for him don't come to regret it. Though unless he behaves himself, I can see an impeachment coming sometime in the future.

I'm very scared for my country now. Mike Pence is even worse than Trump in my opinion. If he ever gets impeached, the lives of many people are in danger even moreso than they are now. Mike Pence will surly make sure that certain minority groups will not get the rights they deserve. It's going to be hell for us here in the United States for the next four years. Let's hope he doesn't get elected again, but I fear that many idiotic people will vote for him again. I did not vote for him, instead I voted third party. I wish I gave my vote to Hilary...

The following 3 links seem to suggest to me how much more that Donald Trump is even more unsuitable to be President. If he was innocent of such dealings, why settle and give out money. I wonder???????????

If Trump can scrap treaties https://www.nytimes.com/2017/01/23/us/p ... .html?_r=0

So can Mexico.

And anyone who backs any form of torture should be banned from ever practicing politics in any shape or form
