I know everyone is wondering what's happening behind the scenes on our phpBB3 version, so here we go:

As you know by now, we've hired some extra hands to assist with development of both this project and upgrades in the future. There will be a period of 1-2 weeks while Aaron is introduced to the various systems and procedures at FreeForums.org. After that, he will be working 40 hours a week solely on phpBB3. Talk about a ton of new features coming your way

We will also be taking this time to restructure our platform before the next BETA period. Making key optimizations and changes now will be a lot more efficient than waiting until it's live, and save us quite a bit of downtime and bugs in the future.

While some may be disappointed about the delay, in the grand scheme of things phpBB3 will be the software powering FreeForums.org over the next few years. By making sure it's done correctly, we can eliminate problems in the future.

Now that we're about to step up our marketing (which we shut down until we got the infrastructure issues worked out) we expect a huge influx of new users. Rest assured, we are planning for success and will be able to scale with the upcoming growth.
