We just released a Utility Box on all v2 and v3 forms. This was released as a way to enable forum admins more freedom and options for the header of their forum. As well as to remove the problematic 728x90 banner from showing in most cases. To customize the Utility Box you can visit the 'Utility Box' page in your admin panel.

What is included in the Utility Box?

For version2 guests:
1) Welcome box

For version2 users:
1) Recent Topics -- Shows the most recent topics that user has permission to view
2) News Box -- Allows the admin to set a message available to all users.

For version3 guests:
1) Welcome box

For version3 users:
1) News Box -- Allows the admin to set a message available to all users.
2) News puller -- Pulls all topics from a specified forum and displays the most recent ones
3) Chatroom/shoutbox -- Puts an ajax chatroom/shoutbox on the top of the forum. Updates every 5 seconds.
