Post Transfering from ff.org to Host Gator
Hello, I am Mike, aka - HGA T3A BAGGERZ. We currently upgraded our site from FF to HG (hatchling) and we're having a bit of an issue with the process...

Host Gator gave us this form/page to fill out --------> http://transfer.hostgator.com/?accountClass=Shared

while Free Forums gave us this ---------> http://www.freeforums.org/hostgator-process2.php

Here in is the problem Step 8 leads to a dead ended (no longer used) email by Free Forums example of step 8 below..

8.Your order is complete! Wait 24 hours (usually sooner) and you will get an email "Your Hostgator Account Information" with the above information. Once you get this, forward it to advanced@freeforums.org along with your current forum's url. We will transfer the database from your old forum to the new one within 3 days !

If you have any problems or questions along the way please email advanced@freeforums.org.

We want to get this done as quickly and painlessly as possible and would appreciate any and all help..

In order for us to progress any further we need the following information to give to Host Gator :

Account Domain Name:
IP / Hostname:

Control Panel URL: **** and type needed i.e. cPanel, WHM, Plesk, Vdeck along with the Link to it... i.e. www.hardcoregamingalliance.com/adm/index.php (if and only IF that is correct)

Previous hosting company:

Control Panel: **** and type needed i.e. cPanel, WHM, Plesk, Vdeck

Additional Instructions:

Account Username:

Account Password:

Does this account have an SSL Certificate?

The People @ Host Gator say we need the following : (12:28:39pm)Jordan R.:Ask your hosting company for the FTP login details.
(12:28:52pm)Jordan R.:OR a full backup of your site.

I don't know if that is a possibility, But I truly would like to get this done as quickly and painlessly as possible.

Much thanks in advance ,

Mike (HGA T3A BAGGERZ)

Hello,
Host Gator do not need to do anything - all you need to do is create a ticket at (http://help.freeforums.org) with information from this Knowledge Base article in it: (http://kb.freeforums.org/questions/30/I ... ow+what%3F) and an administrator will be able to transfer your forum for you.

If you have any more questions please don't hesitate to ask and we'll be happy to help :)

I don't see a thank you button, So I will say to both of you, Thank you Eternal and thank you Subliminal !! That said, It would be Incredible to see the transfer page " http://www.freeforums.org/hostgator-process2.php " Get updated with the correct info to save people headaches.. I know you are all busy, but it would save the Mods and Admins on this site an IMMENSE amount of time and effort and help streamline the process a bit more..

Again, my thanks and gratitude !!

Mike aka BAGGERZ
