Post A few questions????
Okay I have several questions that I would like answered...

1) How do you assign specific ranks I made a dummy account on my forum and the only way I found to assign ranks was through assigning groups??? Why make the ranks if we would have to make the groups anyway???

2) What size is the banner so I can upload my own for more customization???

3) Is there a way to assign permissions to a specific rank???

Hello,

1. This is also the answer to # 3, the point of creating a group is to assign permissions, because you can't assign permissions to a rank. But, you don't have to have a rank assigned to a group if you don't want to. Head over to your ACP -> Users and Groups -> And type the user name of the member you wish to change there rank, now click the drop down box, and select 'Rank'. *Note - You can only assign 'Special' Ranks.

2. I'm sorry, but I don't know the dimensions of the banner.

The size of the present banner on your site is 480 x 80 pixels & 34,078 bytes.

What I have figured out is that each rank that you want you would have to create a new user group. From there you would assign a rank to that user group. from there you can add that member to multiple user groups which would allow that member to hold multiple ranks. That is what I have found out on my own.

Are you sure?

Certainly not the case in native phpBB3.0 where users can only have one rank. Where a group has a rank & you make that group the user's default group then they will adopt the rank of that group.

Hello,

Its only possible to have "2" ranks, if you create the rank image with 2 ranks, otherwise you can't assign 2 ranks as it will only show the rank of there default group. (Sorry if that was a bit confusing, lol).

Good day,

Multiple ranks is technically not possible. You assign one rank per user, each rank however can have an image with it, so if you have a rank titled Administrator, and an image that says Founder, then you'll in a sense have 2 ranks being displayed, but only 1 is actually assigned to them.
