how can I make so guests can see the forums and posts

Head over to you ACP -> Users and Groups -> Groups Forum Permissions. Now click the drop down menu, and select 'Guests', here you can set there permissions. I suggest for guests, setting there permission to 'Read Only'.

If you want guests to see all the forums/posts, please do the following:

1) Sign onto the Administration Control Panel, reverify yourself.

2) Using the Advanced Administration Control Panel (ACP), go to the "Permissions" tab.

3) Under the header "Forum Based Permissions" click "Groups' Forum Permissions."

4) From there, choose all the forums you want guests to be able to see, then hit submit. Next, for each forum listed choose "Read Only Access" from the Role option. Do that for each forum listed then hit "Apply All Permissions."
