Post Permission Settings plus...
How do I use the Permission settings in setting one group to view a specific forum.

Also, there is a member who has been banned from our forums, when I have never banned him myself.

Hello,

You would set the permissions the same as you always do, except if its a private forum, you would make all the other groups, except the groups you wish to see the hidden forum to "No Access".

If you need a more detailed explanation, let me know! :)

Good day,

As Eternal suggested, it would require you log into the ACP, click the Users and Groups tab at the top, then click Groups' Forum Permissions to the left. Select the group and the forum, and then on the next page give the group No Access if you don't want them to see it. Do this with as many groups as you like, with as many forums as you like.

Did another Admin ban them, and are they able to register another account?

Thank you for the response. I have fixed the Permissions issue, but am pending on my Forum Member to reply if he can log into his account or create a new one. (The other Permission Settings were better though :P )

No, I have contacted all my admins (3 Admins) and they have said they have not banned anyone.

Also, there is a member who would like to register but can't. And when she tries to register, she says the Forums claim her User Name was taken when it wasn't.

Has she tried using any other usernames to see if it helps?

Hello,

If you look in the Moderator log of your board, it will tell you who banned that user on your board.
