Post How install tapatalk on my forum?
Hello! I've just got the Advanced Hosting because I really need to install Tapatalk on my forum. Unfortunately I found this extremely difficult, so I came here to get some hint. :D

Thank you in advance.

Post Re: How install tapatalk on my forum?
I just do not know the procedure. I would like you tell me what are the steps I have to do in order to install Tapatalk on my forum.

On Tapatalk website it is written:

Place the zip package at the root of your forum system.
Unzip the package. You should see a directory called "mobiquo" inside your forum system root directory. For example, if your forum URL is http://www.mysite.com/forum, it should be placed at http://www.mysite.com/forum/mobiquo/.
Go to Administration Control Panel, Choose "STYLES", then "Templates"
For each installed template, locate the overall_header.html, locate the following HTML tag:

<head>

Insert the following line below the tag:

<script type="text/javascript" src="{ROOT_PATH}mobiquo/tapatalkdetect.js"></script>

Purge the forum cache by "Resynchronize or reset statistics" in the "General" section, click "Purge the cache"
.

So, for example, I am wondering where I can find the "root" of my forum system and so on...

Can you help me?

Thank you! :D

The root will be something like:-
/public.html
You will know when you are in the right one as it has files such as
index.php
faq.php
feed.php
in it.

I would suggest that you create a directory called mobiquo there first, then unzip the package on your PC, then upload it's contents to the directory you have created.

the overall_header.html files will be in the directories:-
/styles/{name of style}/template/

I wouldn't do the in the ACP as suggested above, much better to download them, take a copy, then upload the new one, then you have a backup to reload if it all goes wrong.

Use Filezilla to download / upload your files & use notepad++ NOT notepad to edit your files.

No problem, just so you know at present your forum hasn't actually transferred over to Advanced so you can only do the above once the transfer is complete.

Any problems feel free to come back to this topic & I or one of the Support Staff will help you further.

Hello,
Just as manic said, your forum hansn't actually been transferred yet - you'll know for sure because the community chest will disappear and your ACP will change.
Once it has been transferred you'll be able to install Tapatalk to your forum.

If you have any more questions please don't hesitate to un-resolve this topic by clicking the "Resolves"/"Locked" icon and we'll be happy to help :)

Post Re: How install tapatalk on my forum?
Hello,

sorry for the delay but I have had some problems with my Hostgator certification. Now I am fine, thankfully.

So, I stil have some issues: I have unzipped mobiquo's file on my computer, then uploaded it to the public_html directory with filezilla.
I think there's something wrong because I can only see the following folders from my ftp account in public_html:

cgi-bin (which is an empty folder)
mobiquo (which I have just uploaded)
.htacces (an HTACCESS file 0-dimensional)
default.html
robots.txt

Where can I find the folder which contains my styles and templates?

Thank you so much for any help. :D

Your forum still hasn't been transferred yet, you will have to wait until it is transferred before you will find the styles & templates.

Hello,

Once you have bought Advanced Hosting, you will need to submit a ticket at http://help.freeforums.org with the HostGator account information (domain, username, password, temp. cpanel link, and nameservers) and FreeForums.org forum URL for us to be able to transfer your forum over for you.
