Preparation for end of 1-year Domain Parking. Renewal tips?
Hello good peoples @ FF, I am nearing the end of 1-year of Domain Parking. My domain will be renewed in a few days, and then my FF account will have to "renew" the parking of that same domain name -- http://www.SuiJurisForum.com I would just like to be prepared about how this process will work, in order for it to go by smoothly. I'd prefer to renew it BEFORE the day that I parked it last year, so that it doesn't revert back to Freemen.Freeforums.org and cause everybody on my forum to panic. In the "Upgrade" tab of the ACP, I see no option to pay in advance for a parked domain renewal. Is it inevitable that my forum will revert to the old *.Freeforums.org domain?? Will it happen at midnight? Will I get an email? What's the scoop? Thanks a bunch, FF Staff! You guys are always awesome. I'm thinking about giving you all a raise. P.S. - Wasn't there talk of being able to purchase MORE than 1 year of domain parking at a time? What has come of that?

Re: Preparation for end of 1-year Domain Parking. Renewal t
Hi there, I've personally never parked a domain name before and since I don't I won't have the 'same' upgrades tab as you. That being said, could you provide a screenshot of what yours looks like? Essentially, there *should* be some sort of option to purchase the park domain name again. As I mentioned, I'm just speculating as I've never gone through this specific process before. In this perhaps no existent menu you should be able to purchase a Park Domain Name upgrade again. If no such upgrade exists, then you could wait for the park domain name to expire and then re-upgrade at that time. Furthermore, you could actually unpark the domain name in the ACP and then revert back to the .freeforums.org URL then immediately purchase the repark feature. The latter two options are obviously less preferable and that is why before you do anything provide me with a screenshot of the upgrades tab so I can take a look . Cheers,

Re: Preparation for end of 1-year Domain Parking. Renewal t
Here ya go...
Seems awfully crummy that there's no way I can go without "downtime".
I guess unparking and parking is minimal downtime, but SHOULD be seemless.
I guess I'll just wait until 16:24 on April 10th to do this, but man.... I should be able to just extend it by a year NOW.
Thanks for the help.

Re: Preparation for end of 1-year Domain Parking. Renewal t
So what happened is that the domain continued to resolve to http://Freemen.FreeForums.org , which is just fantabulous. HOWEVER... I was given 3 choices when re-parking the domain... 1-yr @ $13; 2-yr @ $20; 3-yr @ 24 I take the 2nd choice.... So that my domain parking should not expire until 2014. HOWEVER.... It clearly says it expires in 2013. Is this normal operating procedure??

Hello,
Please don't bump topics, we work from oldest to newest, so bumping a topic will actually slow the response you will get. I have adjusted the parking date so it should be correct now. We will look into the issue you reported though.
