 iPad/iPhone app will FF be bringing out an app for its forums?
Development of this could also bring in BIG money for FF as they could charge a $1 or so to download the app from the app store, if you think about how many people who would download this, it is a no brainer

It is a very popular idea, but at the moment as far as I am aware there are no plans to introduce such a feature, sorry.

Re: iPad/iPhone app I have found several iPad apps that will supposedly work with phpBB forums. But they require you to install code/script into your forums or adding a file to the root directory. Is there any way to install the necessary code changes these apps require? I use an iPad for everything and I also have members in the same position. I would like to be able to upload photos and documents to my forum but can't. Thanks for any help you can provide. Re: iPad/iPhone app Sorry BarbieWanders, you can't do that on the FreeForums.org system. Upgrading to Advanced Hosting would give you access to both the forum fileset and database, so at the moment that's the only option for mobile styles.

Re: iPad/iPhone app BarbieWanders - there are actually apps which will allow you to post from iphone/ipad to the forum, PicGarage is a free one which I use, there may be others. There you can upload a pic and they will provide you with a URL from which you can post your pic using [img]<image%20url>[/img] hope this helps.

Hi BarbieWanders, Can you give me an example of some of these apps? What are their names? I am also looking for apps that enable Voip Service to be used on iOS devices for making calls that aren't reliant on your cell provider. Thanks James
