umm, a forum I go to other than mine, has gathered a member that all post were adds, this happened in the last half hour. either it is a troll, or a newly coded spam-bot, I just thought I would alert you guys so you may look into this. Also, the bot is advertising random things that have nothing to do with the forum, and was on for a few minutes, all the post appeared at the same time it seamed.

EDIT: this is not my forum, but I use it, and we have allot of members because it is for a game on FB, But recently, few weeks sine this, SPAMBOTS HAVE BEEN ATTACKING THE WHOLE FORUM! Every 4 hours or so a new one comes, and makes about 4-5 post trying to sell Uggboots[WHAT THE HECK IS A UGGBOOT?!], and the post are obvious spam and full of links! Can you guys give me suggestions to give to the admin, I have already mentioned putting up a requirement for email verification, but if that does not work is there anything else?

New spam-bots are constantly being built. Whether this is a new one or not, I'm not sure.
As of right now, the only way to currently fight the new ones is the way we fight the current ones (which often feels like a losing battle).

Edited the main post, and THIS SUCKS. the mods there are doing a good job of deleting them, but IP ban did not work.
