Post some feedback regarding your customer service
I've copied and pasted an email exchange here, without further comment:

Freeforums.org response:

Hello,

In order to delete your forum, you can simply go to the Recovery Console
(http://rc.freeforums.org) for your forum and you can delete your forum
from there. The username for the RC is the original name of your forum
(such as "test" for 'test.freeforums.org) and the password was one that
was emailed to you when you first created and activated your forum (it
is auto-generated, so this is not the same password you've selected
yourself). If you have forgotten the email with the password in it, you
can use the 'Reset/Forgot Password' link to have the password reset and
emailed to you. Please keep in mind that the RC is linked with the
original email used to create the forum with, so you will need to check
that one.

Please note that we do not manually delete forums ourselves by request,
if you are not able to do the above then it is recommended to just
disable the forum and abandon it and it will eventually be removed for
inactivity.

Also please note that if you have any subscriptions for upgrades, that
you must cancel them separately, as they are not canceled by the
deletion of your forum. If you are paying via PayPal, you can cancel the
subscription from the re-occurring payments section of your PayPal
account, and if by credit card, then you should be able to cancel them
from the Upgrades tab in your Admin Panel.

What were the reasons you disliked our service?

Thank you for using FreeForums.org,

My response:

YOUR WEBSITE IS SO ******* AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I deleted the forum from the RC page as directed below, AND NOW I DON'T HAVE A ******* ADMIN PANEL TO LOG IN TO TO CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION, AS DIRECTED BELOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I go to the support page, as directed below, assuming I will get the support I need, but no, I HAVE TO CREATE ANOTHER ACCOUNT JUST TO ASK A QUESTION, EVEN THOUGH I ALREADY CREATED AN ACCOUNT AND PAID FOR A YEAR'S WORTH OF SUPPORT?!?!?!?!?!?!

I ******* HATE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS!!!!!! WHY IS THIS SO ******* DIFFICULT?!?!?!?!

Please tell me how to cancel my subscription without access to my admin panel, WHICH I NO LONGER HAVE!!!!!

If you had any sense of customer service whatsoever you would just make my life easy and cancel it for me, then send me confirmation. As I am almost certain that this won't happen, when you do reply, could you please give me specific, intelligible steps to take so that I can cut your shitty website out of my life forever?

If I have one more single problem taking care of this, I will make it my personal crusade to let anyone and everyone know how ******* terrible your business is.

(To the person reading this: I know this isn't your fault. I'm not yelling and cussing at you personally. I'm just trying to convey how horribly, terribly dissatisfied I am with every aspect of my experience with freeforums.org)

Freeforums.org response:

Hello,
The second response is an automatic response.
I think it is safe to say, if you are going to send an abusive all-caps email you can expect a terse response - from any customer support, that is.

Please email billing@freeforums.org and ask them to cancel all of your payed subscriptions. If they were created via paypal you can cancel them in your paypal control panel.

Q. What do the stars in my rank mean? A. For every six months we are part of the support team, we get a new star.
Q. You've made a member an admin/mod but their username color won't change. A. Make the admin/mod group their default group.
Tip. Categories help separate forums into (literally, categories). Try using them to divide up your forums if they are all together.

I would just love to know how, a multimillion$$$ corporation like Crowdgather, who bought Freeforums.org, manages to get volunteers to work for them for free??

The support when the forum actually functioned was quite good. The support FOR Crowdgather at the expense of paying customers leaves much to be desired.

Hello,
Freeforums.org has always had volunteer support staff. Many hosts/ companies across the net do.

Post Re: some feedback regarding your customer service
id say if you send emails like that you deserve no response at all.

customer service is an awful, awful job because of customers who feel that their dissatisfaction with the product or service entitles them to act like an idiot.
